Patients at high risk of osteoporosis
High-risk patients at risk of osteoporosis and fractures can be identified and managed through an approach that includes assessment of the clinical risk factors, use of fracture risk assessment templates and measurement of bone mineral density through DEXA scans.
Choosing cohorts of patients for targeted fracture risk assessment would be ideal, e.g. patients on long term glucocorticoids.
